Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and execute test cases
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
  • Evaluate the testing process, make recommendations as necessary
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
  • Performs technical analysis to identify the scope and schedule for upcoming projects and individual work items, enforces QA standards for all phases of testing
  • Provide input towards general process improvements; be an active participant in code reviews and retrospectives.
  • Develop test plans that cover all functional and non-functional (usability, scalability/load, security, etc.) requirements for a given project and that meet the overall testing and quality assurance goals of the applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science for 1-3 years
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex problems and identify and implement process improvements
  • Testing experience in Android & iOS Apps
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools preferably Cypress
  • API test experience
  • Take ownership of your work and continuously strive for improvement
  • Familiarity with DevOps concepts and methodologies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to report test results in a clear and compelling manner
