Responsibilities

Enhance existing websites to meet business requirements, and perform regular webmaster site maintenance duties Creating custom WordPress themes, plugins & functionalities from scratch, not from templates Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugins Developing, maintaining and updating new and existing websites Work closely with marketing team to develop clear project deliverables and timelines, and to ensure timely completion of deliverables. Troubleshoot and resolve website problems for clients and co-workers

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong comprehension of WordPress, WordPress plugin development, WordPress website maintenance (handling front & back end)
• Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
• Must have familiarity with custom post types, meta fields and hooks
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills
• Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
• Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
• Experience developing responsive design websites from a PSD/AI/Scratch
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
• Understanding of web hosting and basic server administration
• Experience with optimizing sites for best performance, speed test scores and Google ranking.
• Optimize websites to ensure they render consistently in cross-browser environments, with best SEO principles.
• Knowledge of Google Analytics, Search Console & Tag Manager
